あざみ野駅東口、タリーズのすぐ手前の階段を登って、右手を登ったところにある「とんかつ花村」。
上記写真で見れば3カ所にその店名が表示されているものの、その存在感は控えめというかおとなしめだ。そのせいか、ここにお店があることすらを忘れることも多い。
ところが、お昼時のランチに行ってみると、そこそこ席が埋まっている人気店なのである。
このお店を知った最初のきっかけは、また上記の写真にある「エイブル」だ。
引っ越し先に賃貸マンションを探しているときに、エイブルのスタッフに「ここのとんかつが美味しい」とクチコミをいただき、いつか行ってみようとしたものの、ほぼ毎日通るのになかなか行かなかったのである。
そんなお店ですが、ある時からお気に入りのとんかつ屋になり、とんかつが食べたくなったら、このお店に行くか、etomoのさぼてんに寄って買って帰るかの二択である。
二択だ。
その二択のうちのひとつになった時、そこにランチメニューが掲げられていた。
ロースカツ定食 925円（税抜き）。
メニューにあがっている入れカツ定食、チキンカツ定食、生姜焼き定食、から揚げ定食、税抜きで1,000円を超えることが無い良心的な値付けだ。
ロースカツ定食を頼むとご覧の様な形で出てくる。大きさもそうだが、味も満足。
このお店独特のソースなのか、他では経験しないような旨みもある。そして豚肉がなぜか旨い。なぜか、って書くのもどうかと思うが、不思議なぐらい旨みを感じる肉。
冒頭で触れたエイブルのスタッフの方の「ここのとんかつが美味しい」というクチコミはまったく嘘ではないし、お膝元であるからこそ頻繁に通っていることも想像出来ます。
しかし、お店は見た目からは控えめ。隠れた名店という感じだろうか。
あざみ野駅も開けている西口ではなく、落ち着いた地区センターや図書館がある側の駅にすぐ裏手という好立地ながら見落としがちなエリアにある。
もし、あざみ野界隈に住んでいてここに行ったことが無ければ、ぜひ足を運んでいきたい。とにかくとんかつになった肉が旨い。
